AN EXPENSIVE WEDDING IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A GLORIOUS AND LASTING MARRIAGE? 



My dear brothers and sisters who are still single and hoping/about to marry, why don't you prepare well in a godly way first above anything else. You cannot despise God's Word, live in sin with such impunity and then expect a magic to occur for you to have a successful marriage. It doesn’t happen that way.
Many people who once tread the wrong path you are walking right now, are presently having a lifetime of headaches. Some have been shot into hell through marriage. It's unfortunate that many who didn't know how to fight the good fight of faith in their marriage are already dead and gone. The marriage God created to be a blessing to them, had suddenly looked like it's a curse. One answer for this! When we fail to follow God's plan for a successful marriage. Don’t fall into the same errors of those who are full of regrets and wished they could re-write their wrongs. This is the time for you to repent and ask God to deliver you from the scourge of negative seeds you have sown in your life as a single man or woman, while you are on transmit to marriage.
There's nothing wrong with marriage. It is only the two persons who decide to to be covenanted as husband and wife that have the ability to make their union become a good marriage.
This is the time for you now to read all the books, listen to good messages on character building, be committed in serving God better in your church, attend plenty marriage seminars as many as you can, even if you need to pay some fee. In case you are engaged, I suggest you arrange some counselling to be done for you, and your would be partner. Don’t cover up your sins/sexual weaknesses from your pastor. It pays to go for help, if you have failed in dealing with your weaknesses. God gives grace to the humble, and helps him/her to overcome his/her weaknesses.
"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. 14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief". (Proverbs 28:13, 14)
AN EXPENSIVE WEDDING OR A GLORIOUS AND LASTING MARRIAGE? Whatever you are doing with your life as a single man or woman will definitely come down on one of these. A successful marriage is not luck, and neither is it abrakadabra: it is a serious business for spiritually minded adults.
Please! Prepare and plan more for a more lasting and fulfilled marriage and not necessarily just to have an expensive wedding ceremony, and a punctuated marriage. How successful a marriage would be, is never a function of how expensive the wedding ceremony is, nor the caliber of people who are in attendance.
